Awakening Imagination and Reason

Students transitioning from Bhakti Bhavan bring independence, concentration, and awareness—the qualities of the absorbent mind. Entering Audarya Bhavan marks a new developmental stage.

Their reasoning develops, imagination expands, and the desire to understand the world grows. Students move from concrete learning to exploring concepts across time, space, and human experience. Their questions deepen: How did the universe begin? What is justice? What is my responsibility?

We intentionally guide this expanding imagination and curiosity toward intellectual challenge and growth.

Audarya Bhavan means "the home of generosity." At this level, generosity reflects the growing understanding that knowledge connects to service and contribution.

Each day begins with a community Assembly, Morning Circle, and a spiritual song, setting a reflective tone for learning and signaling the start of the day's activities.

After Morning Circle, students begin the extended Montessori work cycle. They manage daily work plans to support organization, accountability, and ownership of learning. This cycle includes focused lessons and independent work in core areas:

  • Math and Geometry
  • Reading
  • Language, Spelling, and Grammar
  • History and Geography
  • Sciences

Work periods foster independent research, collaboration, and targeted lessons. Guided reading groups progress to more complex texts. Mathematical reasoning advances toward abstraction and problem-solving.

Bhagavad Gita study is embedded within the work period. These discussions develop students’ spiritual insight in ways that are relevant to their current life stage and understanding.

At midday, the work cycle concludes with classroom clean-up and a group circle, followed by recess and lunch. This sequence fosters community and classroom stewardship, offering important social time and play before afternoon activities begin.

In the afternoon, students participate in silent reading, journal reflection, and either physical education or art. These activities support physical growth, creativity, and self-reflection, forming the afternoon's block before the final closing activity.

The day concludes with either kirtan or outdoor exploration, allowing students to end the day with joyful spiritual connection or time in nature.

Throughout the day, the classroom is alive with discussion, letter exchanges, book sharing, and student-led presentations. Third-year students serve on the student council. Class initiatives, fundraising projects, and field trips extend learning beyond the classroom and cultivate agency.

Audarya Bhavan offers a thriving environment that provides varied educational experiences and opportunities for personal growth and spiritual development in a supportive, nurturing setting.

Blossoming in Bhakti

As spiritual understanding matures in Audarya Bhavan, devotional practices become more intentional. Students are no longer simply participating — they are beginning to understand why.

Daily devotional practice deepens students' understanding of bhakti—loving service to Krishna (God). Through japa, kirtan, arati, temple attendance, and Bhagavad Gita study, students become more aware of Krishna and their place in the devotional community. Discussions grow more reflective as students consider how spiritual principles shape their choices and relationships.

At this stage, generosity becomes lived. Students begin to see that knowledge brings responsibility and growth empowers meaningful contributions to the classroom, the school, and beyond.
