Parent-Teacher Conference Date Change

Due to the intensive preparations for the Govardhana Puja performances this Sunday, we have decided to postpone the distribution of student reports and parent-teacher conferences to the week of November 15th.  

• Student reports for students in Audarya and Madhurya Bhavan will be sent home on November, 15th.  
• Teachers for all classes will be available to conference with parents (by appointment) November 15th - 19th.  

An appointment sheet is in the school office.  Please schedule your conference appointment at the school office either in-person or by phone - 386-462-2886.

New School Board Member

The recent opening on the board of directors presented an opportunity to welcome a new member - Radhikesh Prabhu (Dr. Sharma). He left family, friends, and a thriving medical practice in Ohio to move his family to Alachua primarily to provide an opportunity for his three daughters to attend our school and be part of the New Raman Reti community. Since then both he and his wife, Premanjali, have contributed in many ways to Bhaktivedanta Academy. Based on his considerable expertise in business management, demonstrated dedication to the growth of the school, and strong recommendation from Sesa Prabhu, ISKCON's Minister of Education, Radhikesh has been invited to join the board.

He, along with other members of the school's board - Jaya Govardhana, Gaura Shakti, Tamohara, and Mukhya will continue to help guide Bhaktivedanta Academy to new heights.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for the week of November, 8th. November, 15th.  A conference sign-up sheet is in the school office. Please schedule in person or by phone, 386-462-2886, for an opportunity to meet with your child's teacher.

Harvest Festival

Bhaktivedanta Academy's annual Harvest Festival is this Thursday, October 28th. We invite all students to come to school dressed as their favorite devotional character. In the afternoon students will be able to participate in a variety of fun activities, such as ox cart rides, apple bobbing, crafts, etc. At 1:40 we welcome parents to come early to cheer for the variety of spiritual personalities who will be "parading" around the school.
