Harvest Festival Volunteers Needed

Dear Families,

The Bhaktivedanta Academy PTO is happy to announce that we have an exciting Harvest Festival planned for our children this year on Wednesday, November 14th. To make this happen, we need your help volunteering to setup and supervise the fun stations from 8:00 am - 11:00 am. Click here to volunteer to help.

School Calendar Update

One of our parents with a keen eye spotted an item on our printed school calendar with an incorrect date.  We have taken the opportunity to correct and update a few items on the school calendar.  Click here to download a new copy. Any highlighed item was either added or updated from the version sent out at the beginning of the school year. If you are unable to print at home, feel free to stop by the office and we will print a copy for you.

Several of our teachers are headed to the annual Montessori Foundation International Conference in Sarasota. It is 3 days packed with invaluable training for teachers and administrators.  We look forward to coming back and benefiting our students with all the knowledge gained from the weekend.  See you Monday!

During the month of Kartika (October 29th - November 28th), Audarya & Madhurya Bhavan students are welcome to be dropped off and checked-in with the teacher on duty at the New Raman Reti temple at 7:40 a.m.

Shop and Earn for Bhaktivedanta Academy

As the holiday shopping period approaches, I wanted to remind all our families that Bhaktivedanta Academy is a participant in Target's Take Charge of Education program. You can designate our school to receive 1% of all your Target credit or debit card purchases in the form of an annual check from Target.

We currently have 7 families enrolled and have already earned $12 (in addition to the $52 earned last year) since August.  This is a simple and easy way to support the school, which also saves you money with the 5% discount on all in-store purchases.

If you have a Target credit or debit card you can designate our school by:

1. Visiting www.target.com/tcoe
2. Clicking the Enroll link
3. Entering our Target School ID: 152289

If you don't have a Target credit or debit card, you can get one and save 5% on all your purchases. 1% of everything you buy at Target using the card will be donated to Bhaktivedanta Academy.

Weather Appropriate Clothing Reminder

As the temperatures begin to drop as low as 40 degrees this week, remember to send your child to school in appropriate clothing.  Please ensure that they come to school wearing pants, socks, and a warm jacket. These are essential to keeping them comfortable and healthy during the school day.
