Teacher Appreciation Week

Dear Families, 

It is that time of year again, when we get the opportunity to show our deepest gratitude for all the teachers! We all appreciate what the teachers have given our children this school year, from the academics to the spiritual guidance and not to mention the love and care, day after day. We couldn’t thank them enough. As a token of our appreciation, we would like to do something special for all our teachers. 

Teacher appreciation week starts Monday, May 6. To show how much our teachers are loved and appreciated, we ask that each child bring the following items to school on the respective days. Participate in one, two, or all five days!

Monday - flower(s)

Tuesday - nice fruit(s)

Wednesday - card or note of appreciation (from you or your child)

Thursday - sweet or savory treat

Friday - special handmade item

Please do not forget to make these days special for our most wonderful teachers during teacher appreciation week!

*Students in Audarya Bhavan (1st - 3rd grade), Madhurya Bhavan (4th - 6th grade), and Krishna Sharanam (7th - 10th grade) meet every Tuesday at the New Raman Reti temple at 7:20 a.m. Teachers will be on duty at the temple to accept students at this time.

Mother's Day Invitation

All our mothers are invited to come to Bhaktivedanta Academy on Friday, May 10, for our annual Mother's Day. We have special activities planned and welcome the opportunity for students to share their class with their moms (a significant family friend or relative is welcome if a student doesn't have a mother who can attend).

 The schedule is as follows:

 Bhakti Bhavan - 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Audarya Bhavan - 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

Krishna Sharanam - 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Madhurya Bhavan - 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

We look forward to seeing our moms here!

Introducing the Parenting Puzzle

In Partnership with the Montessori Foundation, Bhaktivedanta Academy is Offering a 5 Week Course That Will Empower You to:

• Create alignment and positive change in your role as a parent.
• Establish a mood of cooperation and harmony with your child.
• Receive and provide support from your parenting partners.
• Better understand your child and how to best meet their needs and tendencies.
• Strengthen home/school connections.
• Develop a parenting support community with other families.
