Camp Kulaqua Registrations Due Monday

Bhaktivedanta Academy's annual end of year family fun day at Camp Kulaqua in High Springs will be on Wednesday, May 28th. Sign-up forms are going home in Friday folders today. If you are planning to come to Camp Kulaqua please remember to turn your forms in to the school office with payment no later then Monday, May 19th.

Mother's Day Reminder

Bhaktivedanta Academy's annual Mother's Day is on Friday. We have special activities planned and welcome the opportunity for students to share their class with their moms.

The schedule is as follows: 

• Bhakti Bhavan - 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
• Audarya Bhavan - 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
• Madhurya Bhavan - 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
• Krishna Sharanam - 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Please Note: Mother's Day is a special opportunity for students to spend one-on-one time with their moms at school, so we request that alternate care arrangements be made for young siblings.

Śravaṇa-maṅgalaṁ - Puppet Theater & Art Fundraiser

Śravaṇa-maṅgalaṁ
May 6th, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

The students and teachers of Madhurya Bhavan and Krishna Sharanam invite you to Śravaṇa-maṅgalaṁ, an auspicious event dedicated to hearing the glories of the Lord and His greatest devotees. It will be held at the Bhaktivedanta Academy on Tuesday, May 6th.

This fundraiser and showcase will help us to facilitate art lessons and supplies for the 2014-2015 school year. Tickets will be available for $2 at the door. We hope to see you there!

Event highlights:

• Dramatic recitations of devotional prayers
• Shadow puppet theater production of “Daksa’s Sacrifice”
• $6 spaghetti dinner (free admission to performance with purchase!)
• Snacks and goodies galore
• Handmade crafts and creations
• Auctions of student artwork and delectable delights

Lifetouch Student Portraits Due

Your child’s spring portraits were sent home last week. If you have not done so already, please choose and pay for the portrait sheets you want. They are $12 each or $43 for all 5 ($17 savings). Lifetouch makes a donation to the school for every portrait package purchased.

Pay for your pictures by enclosing cash, check, money order, or online code (when you pay online at mylifetouch.com) within the payment envelope.

Payments and any un-purchased portrait sheets were due back on Wednesday, April 30th. Please bring in your payment and any pictures you are not interested in to the school office.
