Over the last year, students and teachers have been working together to determine an identity for our school mascot. We had over 60 student submissions and via school-wide vote chose – Bhaktivedanta Academy Lions!

We are seeking qualified candidates who possess an enthusiasm for working with pre-adolescent children in a highly collaborative teaching environment. Bhaktivedanta Academy follows a 175 day school year with time off during summer and holidays. This is a salaried full-time position that will begin in August 2017.
Qualifications:
ISKCON member in good standing who is committed to his/her spiritual development.
BA or BS minimum (M.ED, preferred).
Montessori EL II certification (AMS) or willingness to attain.
Minimum 2 years teaching experience.
Able to pass local, state, and federal criminal background screenings.
Able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
US citizen or possess documentation of right to work in the US.

Knowledge of Montessori educational methodology or willingness to attain.
Prior experience working with young children in a classroom and/or daycare setting.
Completion of 40 clock-hour Introductory Child Care training preferred.
Able to pass local, state, and federal criminal background screenings.
Able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
US citizen or possess documentation of right to work in the US.
Current first aid and CPR certification preferred.
