Class Cheer Performance Invitation

Thursday is the final day of our annual Spirit Week. All week long the classes have been preparing a special cheer and will be performing them for their fellow students and families. You are invited to join us at the outdoor lunch pavilion on the south-west side of the school campus at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 23rd to watch the cheers being performed. It is sure to be fun for all.

Shop & Earn for Bhaktivedanta Academy

We just wanted to take a minute to remind all our families that Bhaktivedanta Academy is a participant in Target's Take Charge of Education program. You can designate our school to receive 1% of all your Target credit or debit card purchases in the form of an annual check from Target.

We currently have 9 families enrolled and have already earned $10 (in addition to the $69 earned last year) since August.  This is a simple and easy way to support the school, which also saves you money with the 5% discount on all in-store purchases.

If you have a Target credit or debit card you can designate our school by:

1. Visiting www.target.com/tcoe
2. Clicking the Enroll link
3. Entering our Target School ID: 152289

If you don't have a Target credit or debit card, you can get one and save 5% on all your purchases. 1% of everything you buy at Target using the card will be donated to Bhaktivedanta Academy.

Spirit Week Reminder

The week of October 21st is our annual Spirit Week at Bhaktivedanta Academy. The purpose of this week-long (4 days this year, due to Friday being a school holiday) event is to give our students a chance to come together, express their imaginations, and have a little fun. Each day of the week has a specific theme:

• Monday - Pajama Day (dress in your favorite pajamas)
• Tuesday - Gopa/Gopi Day (dress in your finest festive wear)
• Wednesday - Crazy Hat Day (wear the zaniest hat you have)
• Thursday - Cheer Day (come ready to celebrate your school spirit!)

We will end the week on Thursday, October 24th with an assembly at 1:30 p.m. where the classes will perform their school cheers followed by an ice cream party. Everyone is invited to attend. It is sure to be fun for all.

Notes for parents of students in Bhakti Bhavan:

• Please send your child in clothing that they can manage themselves;
• We cannot be responsible for any misplaced jewelry, so please don’t send any;
• Send a change of clothes if you feel you child will not be comfortable for the entire day.

PTO Meeting Invitation

Please join us on Monday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m. in the Bhakti Bhavan classroom for a PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) meeting.  Childcare will be provided (3 and older). We will be discussing the upcoming Harvest Festival and goals for the school year.
