We have made it to the end of the school year! We are all looking forward to celebrating what we have all accomplished this year and the transition of our kindergarten, 3rd, and 6th grade students from one class to the next. Our ceremonies will be held at the Temple Pavillion on Tuesday, June 4th at the following times:

• Bhakti Bhavan - 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
• Audarya Bhavan - 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
• Madhurya Bhavan - 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

All students should arrive to school as usual at 8:00 am. This is a uniform day, so we ask that all students come looking their best. The 2023-2024 school year will officially end at the conclusion of each ceremony.

Please contact the school office at 386-462-2886 or office@bhaktischool.org if you have any questions. We are happy to help.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Pavillion. It will be a wonderful event!

Krishna Sharanam will perform ‘The Wizard of Oz’, a classic story beloved by all ages. After Dorothy is swept away from her Kansas farm by a tornado, she finds herself in the strange land of Oz. To return home, Dorothy must follow the yellow brick road to find the famous Wizard of Oz who lives in the beautiful Emerald City. On her strange and sometimes frightening journey, she meets the Scarecrow, who is desperate to acquire some brains, the Tin Woodman who wants a heart, and the cowardly Lion who wants to gain courage. When they finally get to see Oz - in all his different guises - he sets them a terrible task which must be fulfilled before he will grant them their wishes.

The Wizard of Oz performance will be accompanied by an Art Exhibit featuring art by students from other classes at Bhaktivedanta Academy. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase to fundraise for Krishna Sharanam field trips.

Please invite your friends and family and join us for this wonderful event!

Families are invited to join us as spectators on the parade route as the students pull the Rath Cart from 1:30 pm. Prasadam cookies will be distributed to everyone at the end of the procession.

Please note the following:

• Procession start time: 1:30 pm
• Procession start location: School grounds
• Parking: Families may park in the school parking lot
• Procession/School end time: 3:00 pm (Regular Pick-up)
• Student dress code: School Uniform

We are looking for volunteers to make preparations to offer to Their Lordships (sweet and savory). Please note that it is Ekadasi on this day. If you are able to make a preparation, please bring it to the school office by noon on the 19th.

We also need a handful of safety volunteers to help us manage the event. If you’re able to serve in this capacity, please let the office know by email to office@bhaktischool.org, or calling (386) 462-2886.

We hope you can all come along and take part in this wonderful festival of Lord Jagannath!
